Update

Hello everyone,
Sorry it has been awhile since we updated. The girls and I went back to MO to get our house ready. We don't have computer access there. The house is coming along great. It has been a hard last few weeks being away from our husband and daddy!! We had a great Halloween. I will post pics later. Kylie was "Charpae" from Highschool Musical and Ellianna was Tinkerbell!! They had so much fun.

I made a trip back to Fort Campbell on Saturday, I surprised Kyle because I wasn't suppose to be down until today. It was a GREAT surprise and we are looking forward to our time together. His last day in the Army is this next Wednesday. The movers come on Monday to pack us up and then on Tuesday to move us. Wednesday we will head back HOME!!!

Thanks to everyone praying for us during this time. Thanks for the emails and encouragement.

Finally!!!

I didn't really ever think this time would come... well really it still hasn't, but let me explain!
We are still waiting on Kyle's hearing..we should have heard by now, but it is the Army and they can take however long they want. So we have decided to try to move forward with things. Kyle has his ROTC highschool reunion next weekend, so we all are going up for that. The girls and I will stay to do the work on the house that is needed and he will have to return for who knows how long. Hopefully not long, but we just never know anymore. So we are excited to get the house done and then to get moved in.
Today was the girls and I's last Moms Club meeting. We have had a wonderful time with all the mommies and kiddos we have met. We are going to miss them all lots, but hope to stay in touch! I have met some great friends through there!
So that is just a tidbit of what has been going on!!

Cool website!!!

I just wanted to share a website that I came across the other day. It is called Smilebox and you can access it at www.smilebox.com. I used to scrapbook before I had children and now I am so far behind it is so frustrating. Actually I had gotten rid of all of my scrapbooking items awhile back, because I was never going to do it again. I have always thought that I would love to do digital scrapbooking, but there again never have had the time to figure it out. So now a days we all have digiatl cameras, and mine all stay on my computer. I print out ones for gifts and what not, so to make a long story short.... check out this website and see what all you can do with your pictures. My post right before this, I was experminting with it for a slide show. It is free for the basic membership, or it is 5.99 a month for the premimum, which allows you to print out your pages and do more things. But if you get a year membership it is only 39.99, what a great savings!!

So try it out and let me know what you think.

I don't understand WHY

WHY, WHY, WHY is the question I am asking today... Why does the military do the things that they do? Why do they want men and women to sign up to fight for our country and then treat them poorly when they get hurt doing such a thing? Why don't they listen? Why is it that I don't understand? What are we doing wrong?

These are the questions to run through my head today. We just heard back from the medical board office and it wasn't good news.. That is right, the outcome hasn't changed any and we are now stuck. We have to sign the papers and let them be on their way to Washington and then in a matter of weeks we will be out of the military. So what does that mean for our future, we are not sure right now. We have a lot of things to consider, ponder and pray about. After we get out of the Army we can appeal to Washington and see what they say, but as of right now our hopes of that doing anything isn't looking to great.

I just don't understand why this is happening, what are we doing wrong?

Update

Ok, one of these days, I will get better at keeping this thing updated at least on a weekly basis!! We had our computer get a virus, so now that is fixed. It is amazing what we did back in the day without computers. I don't think I would want to go very long without one, but I could do it!

So here goes for an Army update..... waiting, waiting, waiting, this is a word we are VERY familiar with these days. So we had to appeal the formal hearing, which required to appeal it in writing. So we had to get the doctor to write up a letter, well he decided not to sign it...so the next day he left out of town, so what happens now??? We got the "head" of the department to sign it and hope that it works. We faxed everything in on Friday and hope to hear something back this next week. If we still don't get what we deserve, then we have to accept it and fight after Kyle gets out. We have gotten our Congressmen involved and they have already requested his medical record, so that is a good sign. We hated to get him involved, but if that is what it takes then we will do it. I just don't understand the Army sometimes. They so badly want people to join and fight for our country, but when they get hurt doing it, they don't care about you because you aren't helping the country anymore. It just makes me frustrated and sad for the soldiers that are hurt much worse, I would hate to see what kind of treatment they are getting. Some people won't stand up for what they deserve, so therefore the Army can walk all over them. AGHHHHHH it just gets to me... so I will stop for now!

Here are some pictures from the last few weeks. I am not sure if there is a way to do it as a link??? Anyone know? Or do I have to put them on the page with a post? Ok, so the pictures are taking way to LONG right now. Will post more later when I have more patience!!

Thanks everyone for your prayers and concerns, please keep on praying and we will keep you updated.

Frustrated....

I couldn't think of a title, so this is just how I am feeling!! I will apologize for the downer post now..
So TX was a GREAT vacation for my husband and I, but didn't get us anywhere with the Army. The board left his hearing the same, didn't ask questions, nothing...so a trip for nothing, except alone time as a couple which was nice. So now, we have 10 days(not very long) to appeal AGAIN, but this time it is in writing. So what do we do? That is a darn good question because noone seems to know what we should do besides appeal it. Where do we start? Who do we see? What appointments need to be made? These are all questions that we are asking and NOONE is answering. We are running out of time and out of patience. We did call our congressman back in MO, and he is helping us out so far. He started investigating the case this week, so we shall see if that gets us anywhere. So we continue to wait on the Army.... the girls and I will still most likely go back to MO within a months time. We are going to wait out to see what this appeal does!

So after we returned, we have been busy. My mom is still here with us, so that is nice to have someone here! Friday we had MC meeting and it was good. We tried something different and I think it worked and my group liked it. I am going to miss this group of ladies and kiddos very much. It has been great to get to know them and to make memories and friends that I can keep in touch with anywhere. Where we are moving there isn't a Moms Club...so I guess that means I will have to start one. We will see how far that gets!! I think every city should have one and it can be started with just one mom, so that looks like me!!

When we move back, we are thinking of me going back to work. My husband is wanting to finish his ministry degree, and I want him to focus on school and not have to worry about our family finacially. He is going to try and go to school on just Tuesday Thursday, so that will be nice. My mother has offered to care for the girls, so that is GREAT. I wouldn't work if I had to take them to daycare. So they will only be with her 2 days a week and then with Kyle the other 3 days. I will still homeschool them, just in the late afternoon/evening time. That is the flexibility of homeschooling...right? I am going to work for my mother n law at a facility that assembles medical packs for hospitals, for surgies, births etc. So you never know, I might assemble your next pack!! My husband and I both have worked there before we moved here, so that is nice too.

I will be posting pictures at a later date, when we have a working computer. Our desktop has a virus or something on it, so we have to erase EVERYTHING and redo it. Our laptop is old and slow....so pics are to come.

Thanks for getting through all of my rambling..

So yesterday our flight got in and we got our rental car and headed to Sea World! I had not been since a child and we had a lot of fun. I will post pics when we get back in town. We had a great time for getting in FREE for military!!
Today we met with Kyle's lawyer and the meeting went great. We were pleased with the meeting and the lawyer said he thinks tomorrow will go great. So you can pray for us and Kyle as he appears before the board of doctors. Today we went to the Riverwalk and took a boat tour around and then did some shopping. Packin it up for TX!!

So yesterday we picked up my mom from the airport. Today we decided to try Patti's Settlement again. The last time we went there with Moms Club, that is where Kylie had her accident of sliding down a paved street!! So today they were in a stroller and we had a lot of fun and ate some yummy food. I will post pictures at a later time!
We leave for TX EARLY in the morning.. We board at 5:30 AM!!!!! That is way to early for my eyes to be open, but it will have to work.
Please pray for us this week as we go to court hearings. My prayer is that we will just trust God and remind ourselves that He has a perfect plan for us.
"See" you all at the end of the week!

Why Children do what they do????

I have been asking myself today....why in the world do children act normal and polite in public with their friends and what not.....and then when they get home they are a total different person. It is like they went from an Angel to a Beast!!! This is how I feel today..AGHHHHHH.

This morning we went to a park play day with Moms Club and the girls did GREAT, played nicely, got along, shared. Everything was PERFECT until we got home, and what happened, I am not quite sure. They were totally different little girls. They were yelling, fighting, kicking, crying, whining, you name it they were doing it!!! WHY???? So after getting through lunch time, which I might add was a diaster as well, it was nap time. Oh no, they went kicking and screaming up the stairs to their bed. After screaming for 20 minutes(this is what it seemed like) it was quite and I thought something was wrong....so I go to check on them and guess what....they were SLEEPING!!! Priase the Lord!! It was nice to have 2 hours to myself with peace and quiet. After nap they were back to their normal little beings of playing and getting along. So I hope that there are not many of these days to come!

Ok...so we went to the doctor today to get an "official" medical term for Kyle's injury. We weren't sure if the doc would just do it right there in the office, because he hadn't seen his surgeon since May, but he DID!!!! This is such a relief to have. So now we are ready to go battle our case next week.
God is amazing when we keep our eyes on Him!!
Thank you God!

Can't sleep and going to see the doctor today!!

Ok....so I can't sleep, so what am I doing??? Blogging!! It is already addictive!
So we go see Kyle's Ortho doctor today to see if he will put a "medical" term to his injury. This is the only thing that is going to help us in fighting his case. So please pray for us as we go today to see him. Hopefully we shall come back with some GOOD news!!

Thanks to all who have been praying for us this far. It has been a long journey and we are ready for a change. God has been with us this far and we know that He will continue to guide us in our every step. We are placing our complete trust in Him.

Our first post in the Blog world......

Ok....so we have decided to join the Blog world to keep updated with our friends and family as we continue to grow and change as a family. So for now, we are still stationed at Fort Campbell, KY and Kyle is in the process of his medical board. This has been a LONG and drawn out process, but who is to say that anything in the Army is at fast pace!! So he is getting medically boarded for his ankle injury. We have to appear in court on Sept 3 at Fort Sam Houston, TX to battle it persay!! They didn't offer what we and the doctors thought they should have, so we are fighting it out and hopefully we will win!! We shall wait and see. Once we are out of the Army, we are moving back to the Kansas City area. We are actually going to live in Kansas City, KS. Kyle's grandparents have a house there that is paid for, so we are going to fix it up some and stay there for awhile. It is only 2 bedrooms, but at least we have 2 girls, so they can continue sharing a room. It has a big kitchen and lots of storage and a garage. So it isn't our DREAM home, but it will work and this is what God has provided for us at this time. We are excited to call it "our" home and paint and do things to it to be ours. We have been renting since we have been married, so we have just looked at WHITE walls the entire 7 years!!I will post pics when we get there and settle in. I will have before and after pics for you. We have really enjoyed being here in the Fort Campbell area. We have met lots of friends and will have life long friendships from them. I have been a part of Moms Club of Clarksville and it is an amazing group of women and their families. The girls have really enjoyed making new playmates. Here are some random pics of the girls since we have been here.
